This division is responsible to create and promote effective linkages between research and organizations to ensure the availability of an adequate state database, inventory of skills, resources and environment.

It is focusing on efforts to enable effective coordination between local councils at districts and mukims level as well as aligning State and Federal efforts in taking advantage of the available opportunities.

The K-Government Division is taking steps to ensure that the State Government of Perak will work as a catalyst, encourager, information provider and example of "the best practice" to the people, industries, businesses as well as counterparts from all around the world.

This division also responsible to facilitate the State in promoting strategies to ensure investment in key niche areas that would later become the leader in the industry and achieve global position.

In achieving the vision to create Business & Citizen Friendly Government, the State of Perak needs to optimize ICT as the enablers in the area of infrastructure, education & skills, innovation and investment.

Foreseeing the state of K-Government in 2020, the infrastructure should be faster, better, more economic and convenient government service delivery through ICT integration.

Where as, the education & skills will be enhancing service delivery through change management & training of civil servants while at the same time, innovation will become the culture of the State and it can be achieved by creating a more conducive R&D environment (e.g. Incubators).

K-Government Division envisions that future investment into the State will see the existence of a more competitive environment where trouble-shooting and challenges will be facilitated through One-Stop service.
