04 AUGUST 2008 – SEMINAR “PROMOTING MSC MALAYSIA STATUS TO ICT COMPANIES IN PERAK”

To the effort promote this, KPerak INC Corporation is holding a seminar to elaborate on the benefits of being an MSC Malaysia Status Company in Perak. Through this seminar, potential MSC Malaysia Status Companies will find out the incentives, benefits as well as the real success stories from other companies.
The MSC Malaysia status is your passport to a host of privileges reserved for ICT and ICT-facilitated business. It is also a mark of world-class service and achievement. Companies with the MSC Malaysia status will benefit from an array of world class facilities and premises that provide just the right environment for a thriving and dynamic global ICT hub for the region.

While working towards achieving a fully developed Knowledge State by the year 2020, Perak is focusing on developing ICT to open up numerous opportunities and possibilities for all.
At present, there are 13 companies dealing with creative multimedia, support services, software development, hardware design, IT outsourcing and creative multimedia who are registered and or operating in Perak.
These companies have been enjoying the benefits of an MSC Malaysia Status Company such as no income tax, investment tax allowance for up to 10 years; no duties on the import of their multimedia equipment;world-class physical and and information infrastructure; subsidized rental and utilities; faster access to HRD funds and much more!
KPerak INC Corporation aims to increase the number of the MSC Malaysia Status Companies in Perak to help improve the business opportunities and possibilities for Perak's local companies to shine globally. This is also part of Kperak INC Corporation's Key Performance Index (KPI) which is to achieve a total of 20 MSC Malaysia Status Companies (non Shared Services Outsourcing) and 3 MSC Malaysia Status Companies (Shared Services Outsourcing) by the year 2010.
The speakers for this event will be representatives from the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation; Multimedia Development Corporation; Malaysia Debt Venture and Technopreneurs Association Malaysia.
Also during this seminar, four Memorandums of Understanding will be exchanged witnessed by YAB Dato' Seri Ir Haji Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin, the Menteri Besar of Perak Darul Ridzuan.
