ANAK PERAK 2008 PROGRAMME
From tin mines to MIND industries. The silver state's tagline in promoting and creating a K-State by the year 2020 via ICT. KPerak INC Corporation together with the State Department of Education in Perak, Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI), Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP), Yayasan Perak and Sapura Technology, the Anak Perak 2008 programme was born.
This is part of the KPerak 2010 Initiative to create skilled workers as well as to extend the capabilities of the participants to move beyond the boundaries of ICT and to create a Knowledge Society. The objective of this programme is to create more content developers instead of content consumers and also to create more skilled ICT workers by inculcating the students interests towards the ICT industry via creative application development. The primary and secondary school children's interest in ICT and creative content are stimulated and moulded into becoming future content developers.
